    Top 10 Tailbacks This Year

    1. Johnnie Blue -- Big Red

    2. Savion Johnson -- Wheeling Park

    3. Arjay Burress -- Martins Ferry

    4. Cam Davis -- Weir

    5. Travis Stenson -- Harrison Central

    6. Von Wooding -- Linsly

    7. Chase Gump -- John Marshall

    8. Ty Allen -- Bellaire

    9. Bricker Lori -- Caldwell

    10. Justin Loughrie -- Brooke

Note: St. Clairsville will probably use a combination of Brendan Ferns and Shane Peroni, but I wanted to make this a list for individual tailbacks.

Jello, how come you started two threads on the the best backs this year? The first on the top 7 and the other on the top 10.

Late at night and pushed the wrong button. Maybe a moderator can delete the other thread.

All are seniors, except sophomore Ty Allen at Bellaire.

So, all 9 are proven guys and I'm sure there are some juniors around the area that could make the list, but you choose a sophomore who has no meaningful carries to warrant a top 10?! Just curious of this status for this young man especially w/ a new/young line?

I just think he has that much potential. Plus, he'll get plenty of carries.

I agree with all them I think 1,2 could be a toss up but I am a little bias for Savion watching him grow up. I would also put JC Custer from Bishop Donahue on the list somewhere one of the fastest backs in the OVAC could be a special season for that young man behind that line.

So, in other posts, you say Bellaire has such a inexperienced line having to replace 4 out of 5 guys, but you have a player listed top 10 in the Ohio Valley that has no meaningful carries and a line w/ 4 brand new starters? Do they now play the game different where the line is of no significance? So, is this a top 10 list on potential or actual play?

It is not an exact science. I guess it is a combination of potential, accomplishments and how many carries I think they will get.

So, you list a guy as a top 10 RB because he's going to get a lot of carries & don't put a St. C RB on because they won't get as many carries? That's a funny criteria.

Just think norbit the inexperience of line this year they will be more experience next year.if I'm correct badias first year he went 4-6.then the following year he went 6-4.camski first year he went 3-7 this year should be better.
