I'm from Barnesville, and I think Monroe gets the win here. You are right about the rivalry though. This game has kind of taken Union Local's place on the Rocks schedule as the biggest game every year. I have not seen Monroe this year, but I think they may be just a tad more talented than the Rocks. The Rocks beat Steuby Central last night 29-7 I think, or something like that. Anyway, it IS always a good game. I'd say Monroe by 2 TD's or so....but, I'll still root for the Rocks.

The way i see it... its win and in the play-offs for MC. Barnesville is carring points. Frontier and trail are easy ones may come down to bonus points. I think they are in with a win friday. Barnesville win things get murkey... a magnolia game to follow.. maybe outside looking in but mc might carry them into the postseason.

Yeah the Noles will be in if they win out. Probably around the 6-8th seed. Doubt they will do anything once they get in though.

Anyway, Barnesville's loss to Shadyside was much worse than MC's. MC beat Caldwell, and Caldwell be the Rocks. I will take Monroe Central.

To be fair, Barnesville beat itself against Caldwell. That being said, Monroe destroyed Caldwell, so I'll take the 'Noles.

Monroe cruises in this one. I've covered the Rocks loss to Caldwell and win @ SCC...I've covered Monroe drilling Caldwell the week after the Barnesville game. MC rolls to 21-0 in the first and never looks back, 36-17.

-I like this....but, how about "the resevoir war"? There's seemingly friggin' 20 different resevoirs between Barnesville and Woodsfield. Or perhaps..."the war for the right to Somerton"! Or, better yet...the "malaga bar and grill war", as Bville folks use to turn up there quite frequently.
