Now wait for it….. He dropped nearly 40 on BPort.

So if he isn’t “very skilled” how does one do that??? I’ve never seen a limited skilled kid drop 40 in a HS game

I don’t ever say anything remotely about kids. Simply that there is a major difference between D6-D7 to the upper divisions. That’s reality. Ball will never be Ball. You can talk about all these players from 15-20 years ago when those schools were mostly in 2 divisions higher than they are now.
Ball will never be ball in the valley because all schools are on the D6-D7 level.

Caldwell is ranked 10th in D6.

There isn't 5 Ohio Valley players that can play at the D-2 level.

                  Howell from Monroe as well.

Obviously the numbers are dwindling as it’s been proven highly successful in the college ranks to go get 21-23 year old men out of the transfer portal than to give HS kids a shot. JUCO is about to be flooded with kids since no eligibility years will be lost starting soon.

                    Yes, things are rapidly changing.

He's just taking a shot at the OVAC, but I believe there is a small group of kids in addition to the seven mentioned who could find a home somewhere in the Mountain East, Great Midwest, or Pennsylvania conferences if they truly wanted to play D2 basketball.

All good picks, one sleeper pick for me would be Pettigrew from Bellaire. He is prolly one of the top athletes in the valley. If he would put that work in he could be a real problem on the court.

Not that this will disqualify anyone but 1 must make certain they are extremely well rounded.

-Of course every coach knows you can score but does the film show you can sit your ass down and play man to man.
-Can you elevate others with your play??
-Are you an exceptional teammate?? Not what mom and dad says but does it stand out on film.
-Are you a leader or just a stat chaser.

You guys need to attend the MEC tournament at Wesbanco Arena and see how good D-2 Basketball really is. There's been several leading scorers from the Ohio Valley that attempted playing at the D-2 level and didn't last a year.

In 3 years I'll be back to see how many are actually playing at the D-2 level.

                            Some of you are delusional.

Ask Chase Yoho and Luke Powell if it's easy playing at next level. (Two excellent High School Basketball players)

Davis is committed D2, Straub has D2 offer, Sancomb will probably get a shot D1, and Goodwin is going D1. There’s nothing delusional about that and I agree D2 college hoops is very very high level ball. A lot of the high level players in D2 go on to play pro overseas.
