All great names here however let’s just forget about the guy from 4 years ago who averaged 33PPG,16th in the state history in scoring (while being double teamed since his early Junior year btw) and averages 17 PPG at the D2 level right now and is most likely going back D1 next year. None of those 3 names were better or anywhere close to him, I’ll let you all figure that name out.

I see your still sniffing that pack lol as been said above time will tell. Yall really need to get out of the valley lol as others said because a kid plays at X school doesn’t dictate their potential. Intangibles, time put in like real time, or ability. So again yes the top tier guys can play anywhere relating to ball is ball if you are a “real hooper” you can. Not saying just cause a kids do good at 6/7 means they can but there are outliers. I know you love taking things outta context so figured id help you chs2019 lol. Have a good one lil man.
Stuff is laughable.

But when I said this I was crucified. There is no gap between valley talent individual talent. These kids have always played against each other or on teams. Valley team A is pretty much valley team B with few talent guys scattered throughout. The biggest difference maker around the valley is coaching. Period. Example Davis played for the biggest school in WV which is in the lower portion in the nation for basketball. He transfers to a D3 in Ohio but in the Valley with little to no drop off. It’s the same reason teams will have stellar seasons around here then get to post season and immediately get removed. Valley good is a thing.

Did he turn down an offer to play D1 hoops for Steve Lavin in California? They're calling my take delusional. No one said Goodwin could play at Duke or that Reese could play at Kentucky. I listed 5 extremely talented kids that had D2 and D1 offers to confirm that they can/will play D2. The "offers" are coming from the coach, not a mother or father on IG, so yes, the offers do matter because without them, that means they aren't recruiting you.
Those other 3 guys listed were great players that dominated 1a,2a,3a a few years back, but if I'm building a "D2 team", I'm taking Davis, Sancomb, Straub, Goodwin, and Reese over them.
The discussion started when a guy said there are NOT 5 guys that can play D2 hoops in the OVAC; well, there are. Not sure why some guy decided to move the post to claim Sancomb can't play at West Virginia Wesleyan because Islay and Soho played D3; it doesn't make any sense.
Whether Goodwin performs well or not, when that guy returns to the OVA message board in three years, Goodwin will still have played D1 basketball; that cannot be taken away from the kid.

Do you people really think that if you drop Sancomb off at Shadyside, his average wouldn't double, and the Shadyside coach wouldn't win OVAC coach of the year?

There are levels, what I’ve been saying the whole time. The time spent working in the gym dictates how you play on gameday. You can’t replace the work. That’s why there is such a short list when it comes to good Players in the valley. Davis might average 40 at Bport as a senior, but Jaleel is a sophomore averaging 25. There aren’t to many guys in the entire valley averaging 25, regardless of where they play. Seems like Vincent is doing something right for yall to still be on this forum as adults downplaying what this young man is doing. SMH. Scored 23 lastnight, broke his wrist in the first quarter(shooting hand) and played the rest of the game. Cmon you need to either go check him out and realize that you’re missing one of the good ones, or just don’t speak on something you obviously don’t know much about.
