Indian Creek vs. Licking Valley Week 11

Its been the matchup that keeps following us for weeks. Just keeps ending up that way and the football gods want these two teams to play. Not looking forward to the drive, but will be there! From a ref that I work with, he says we match up very well with the Panthers. Every game this year has been a great experience compared to the last few seasons... Thoughts?

I’m sure we’ll hear about straight of schedule,
    Licksters #43
    Creeksters #93, according to Drew P .
Still like Creek on the road (if coaches show up with play calling).

LV coach is a legend. Been at it for over 40 years. They are very well coached. Only thing missing from his resume is a state title.

I’m hoping for the Cricksters to win this one. But as the good Dr has stated about LV’s coach, he always has them prepared and they do play very hard. If one’s betting I’d put my money on LV for the coaching and strength of schedule.

LV is always hard hitting and tough running. If creek can take the sustained punches in the mouth they should be able to keep it close, and possibly pull out a win. With that said after a close first half I’ unfortunately still gotta go with LV to pull it out.

Still hoping for a Creek win.

CalPreps has this as a 35-7 LV win on a neutral field. They aren’t always right but so many here take that site as holy scripture

This is a game IC can compete in and win. Stick to the game plan and give the kids a chance to win. That is why IC is 8-2. Great job Coach Conner. Keep it rolling.

Tough to win in the playoffs without a productive or efficient passing game. Don’t need to sling it all over the field but you can’t run in only running situations and pass only in passing situations. ICHS has no balance. I think you have to have close to a 60/40 run/pass balance.

Probably the best team they have faced this year, battle tested & been very competitive last few seasons. Creek will have to be flawless in this one & confident. Best wishes, got to want to play in Week 12.

Creek has played an inferior schedule. That is very telling. Another "one and done" to add to their dismal playoff record.

Yes one of the weakest schedules every year but congrats on a good year. Creek may hang for a qtr but see LV running away LV 35-7

I remember people saying here last year how tough Licking Valley was before Big Red played them last year and Red had 50 points scored mid way thru 3rd quarter.

Absolutely; because if Big Red can make a good team look bad certainly Indian Creek can as well!

Schedule is crazy weak for a D3 team. But it was the same as last years right? From 2-8 to 8-2 and a playoff spot, IC deserves a ton of credit. But, not really being battle tested against a perennial playoff contender with a 40 year + head coach is a tough task.
