Don't know who you are referring to, but I'll take a crack at it.

It's called overthinking it, and "being hoisted on your own petard."
    Deserved it.

Yes, we are proud of it. Thanks! EL wanted to take knees and run the clock out, MF calls a timeout, so what the heck why not throw a TD if the MF coach wants to drag it out.
And you have a problem with that eh? Get over it sour grapes.

You'd call a pass play when running the football would achieve the necessary results of running out the clock? Good call.

As for deserved it, who deserved it? The kids? Please!

            This battle isn't worth it.

On 1st down EL downed the kneed the ball, with 1:25 left on the clock, clock ran to 1:15. There was an equip time out. Instead of starting the clock after it, they added :04sec taking it back to 1:19 and didn't restart it. EL kneed the ball on 2nd down and the clock was stopped at 1:15 w/Ferry timeout. so that means ferry can get the ball back w/ about 40 ticks left on the clock if we take the knee again, with the score 20-17... We were content with that, but The refs failure to restart the clock and Ferry calling a timeout left Coach Asher No choice but, to call that play to ice the game and OUT COACH THE GREAT BRUNEY! That best defensive coordinator in the valley should have been watching for that!!!!

This shows you what a joke Ferry Coaching Staff is. They have one of the best QBs in the valley & all they do is run run run.

I just heard this evening that one of the current coaches went to board & said all coaches would quit if they hired Tom Bruney. (This was a few years ago) As someone already said, MF's best coach was in the stands tonight.

While I didn't totally agree with it...Asher's reasoning for the last TD was that MF was still calling TOs and their DL was diving over ELs OL and taking shots at the QB. Also it wasn't a given that EL could run out the clock without punting.

Personally I hate to see this as a cloud over a great win for the Potters. Both teams played their hearts out. Congrats to both on an entertaining Friday night.

Good luck to Ferry in your remaining games.

                    Go Potters!

It was a screw up in terms of playcalling, but EL is the better team. EL would win the Buckeye 8. When push comes to shove, the great D.Bruney went to the wishbone, hahahahahahahahahaha.

lol, especially when the other team is bigger than you. They might of been able to move the ball if he would've used his skill athletes in space, but you cannot overpower EL.

Then again, the wishbone has been a losing staple in big games for Ferry in the Bruney era, lol. Why change now.

Everytime its a close game, DB runs some dumb plays like tonight. If the team has close to the same ability, ferry will lose with db coaching. He only beats Buckeye 8 teams b/c he is usually that much better than them. DB - his initials say it all.

You obviously were either 1) not at the game; or 2) were not paying attention at the game. Coach Asher made the correct call and running the ball would NOT have achieved the same results as you suggested. Clock was screwed up, so MF would've had some time to score.

So Coach Asher is supposed to play nice and leave the opponent a chance to score in the waning seconds? Want a free lunch with your position too?
