    D-II District participants

Who do you think will get out of this District tomorrow? I would think that East Liverpool and John Glenn have really good chances to make it to the D-II State Tournament. 3 teams and 3 individuals will advance to the D-II State Tournament to be played at North Star Resort in Sunbury on October 11-12.

    Teams:
    Caledonia River Valley
    Cambridge
    Carroll Bloom Carroll
    Columbus Bexley
    Columbus Bishop Watterson
    Columbus St. Francis DeSales
    Coshocton
    East Liverpool
    Gnadenhutten Indian Valley
    Johnstown-Monroe
    New Concord John Glenn
    Zoarville Tuscarawas Valley

    Individuals:
    Cameron Ball (Colunbus Bishop Hartley)
    Ethan Blough (Marian Pleasant)
    Tristan Bruce (Belmont Union Local)
    Jason Fletcher (Baltimore Liberty Union)
    Nate Frencik (Byesville Meadowbrook)
    Derek Hamm (Heath)
    Logan Kirkbride (Duncan Falls Philo)
    Damon Moore (Byesville Meadowbrook)
    Matt Simmons (Johnstown Northridge)
    Seth Vannoy (St. Clairsville)
    Chris Williard (Columbus Bishop Hartley)
    Alex Wright (Uhrichsville Claymont)

Remember, all the teams that do not make the top 3 will become individuals. So there will be 57 individuals fighting for 3 spots. Tough sledding no matter how you slice it!! Meadowbrook's Matt Miller was medalist in this event the last time it was played at River Greens in 2011. He went on to be 5th out of 72 in the Ohio Division II State Tournament. That was good for 1st Team All-Ohio.

Last year the District was played at Granville Country Club in Granville. Both East Liverpool and St. Clairsville advanced from there to the State at OSU Scarlet. St. C was 5th and EL was 6th in the State.
St. C's Adam Jeffries and Zach Keylor earned 2nd Team All-Ohio honors.

    How tough is the course?
Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys.
Look on them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death!”

Same course where the Eastern District teams played the Sectional. But we are playing the blue tees for the District. Used the whites in the Sectional. We played the blues previously for the ECOL Tournament on September 19. Much tougher from the blues.

Why not play the blues for every step of the post season?

I've said that for years. No one listens to me.
