The Zanesville District Golf Association (ZDGA) Junior Golf Tournament was held June 15-16 at Jaycee’s Golf Course in Zanesville. The ZDGA each year awards scholarships to graduating seniors. The top graduating finisher was Matt Kaido of Tri-Valley, who pocketed $1500. Kaido had a two-day total of one-under par 141. Ted Loewen**** of West Muskingum was the second graduate and earned $1000. Max Huddleston of Maysville was third, good for $750. The top female finisher was Marie McGinnis of Tri-Valley, who shot 73-76 and won $500.
The first day of the tournament all participants played from the white tees. On the second day, golfers were separated into flights. Here is a summary of both days of play at Jaycee’s:
