Louisville, KY – For the third time in three years, the West Liberty Hilltoppers advanced to the NCAA Division II Elite 8. For the second time in three years, they will play in the Final 4.
The Toppers hit on 11 three pointers from behind the arch in their march to a 26 point victory over Winona State. Alex Falk and Cedric Harris paced West Liberty with 23 points each.
Winona was led by Cameron Taylor with 18 points. Their All-American forward Clayton Vette was held to only 14 points before fouling out of the game with 6:55 remaining.
Leading by as many as 31 points late in the game, West Liberty won 110-84.
The Hilltoppers will play Metro State on Saturday at noon.
