Wheeling Judge Arthur Recht has joined battle and stopped the AAA West Virginia Championship game from being played until the WVSSAC, and Court system sort the matter out.
South Charleston had 4 players suspended by the WVSSAC nearly 3 weeks ago after their involvement in a fight during a playoff victory against Hurricane. The following week, Charleston Judge Carrie Webster filed an injunction allowing the suspended misfits to play in the State Semi Final game against Brooke.
Now, rather than let South Charleston continue to break the rules through a loop hole, Wheeling Judge Arthur Recht filed an injunction that has delayed all AAA play until a final decision and ruling has been made on the actions of the team and players involved in the altercations that occurred nearly 3 weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Martinsburg High School, after defeating Morgantown in the State Semi Final, is stuck in limbo waiting for their chance to play in the Championship game.
