For the first time in school history, West Liberty University’s football team has been voted into the NCAA Top 25. The Hilltoppers (6-1) are ranked #21 in the Nation, with their only lose coming to #12 ranked Edinboro in Week 1. The ‘Toppers won last week 52-30 at home against WVIAC conference foe West Virginia State.
West Liberty is led by quarterback, and Ohio Valley native Zach Amedro. Amedro, a graduate of John Marshall High School was named WVIAC Player of the Week for the 3rd time this season. At the mid way point in the season, Amedro has already thrown for 2,537 yards and a school record 27 touchdowns. He is currently ranked 2nd in the Nation in passing yards per game.
As a team, the ‘Toppers are ranked 2nd in the Nation in total offense.

West Liberty takes their six-game win streak to Shepherd (5-2) on Saturday. The game is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Ram Stadium.
