PITTSBURGH — Since experiencing pain his left wrist after taking swings in the batting cage before the game on August 24th, Jose Tabata has been sidelined several times due to the nagging injury.
On Tuesday, Tabata was diagnosed by Dr. Mark Baratz with a small avulsion fracture in the dorsal side of the 4th metacarpal of his left hand (fractured left hand).
Tabata will rest and receive treatments for the next 10 days to allow the bone to heal and will be reevaluated at that time.
