West Liberty Basketball had 4 players selected to the All-Atlantic Region team.
The Lady Toppers Tori Hansen earned 1st Team All-Atlantic, with Laura Malernee being honored to the 2nd Team All Atlantic squad.
Hansen is a 5-9 junor guard from McKean, PA, and finished out the season as the 3rd leading scorer in the Nation with 22.5 points per game, while leading the WVIAC in nearly every offensive category. Hansen paced the Lady Toppers by scoring at least double figures every game this season. She has scored 20 points or more in 23 games this season, while cracking the 30 point mark in 3 different games.
Malernee is a 5’11 junior from Gahanna, OH. Malernee is the first player in NCAA history to post back to back seasons with 120 or more 3 point goals. She has lead the Nation in 3 pointers for the past 2 seasons, totaling 178 goals during the 2 year span.
The Mens team was honored by having Corey Pelle and Mike Mathey both selected to 2nd Team All-Athlentic Region Team.
Pelle, a Junior Guard from Silver Spring, KY was the Hilltoppers leading scorer, averaging 17.4 points per game.

Mike Mathey is a Senior Guard from Prospect, OH, averaging 16.1 points per game for the Toppers.

The Mens team finished the season 27-2 , with the Lady Toppers at 22-9. Both squads continue play next week in the Regional Tournament. The Mens Regional will be hosted at West Liberty.
