When you have three Angels on your side how can you really lose? In this case we are referring to Adam, Coy, and Kasen. Add in Coach Adam Angels and that gives Cameron 4 Angels. Someone upstairs very well has been looking out for them on Saturday as Cameron once again hosted the 1A OVAC baseball trophy. I did say once again because Cameron are now repeat champs.
Cameron defeated Conotton Valley 8-2 for 1A championship on Saturday in Toronto.
Leading the way on the mound was Coy Angel. Coy 111 threw pitches Saturday and went the distance. He also struck out 7 to help get himself the win as the starting pitcher.
Shortstop Adam Angle IV managed to get himself 4 hits on the day with an RBI. This was enough for him to be named game MVP as well. He defensive play was also very good as he continued to several brilliant plays on defense.
Add in Kason efforts behind the plate with solid defense and his single and that helps Cameron march to victory.
Cameron is 18-8 on the year and has been on a roll as of late. Last year were the team’s first ever tournament title and they look to keep things rolling.
Cameron busted this one open in the 4th inning when they scored four runs.
Conotton Valley did try to make a game of it in the 6th when they finally got on the on the board, but at that point it might have been too little too late.
Camron added 3 more runs late for good measure to ice this one 8-2 in their favor.
