BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College senior Joe Testa (Amity, Pa./Trinity) continues to pick up postseason awards as he was voted Second Team All-Great Lakes Region by the national web site D3Hoops.com.
The 6-3 forward, who was also a First Team All-PAC selection, is the first Bison to earn All-Region honors from D3Hoops since Brody Jackson was a First Team choice following the 2007-08 season and is the sixth BC player to receive All-Region accolades.
Testa finished the season ranked sixth in the conference in scoring with 15.8 points per game and grabbed a PAC-leading 9.5 rebounds per contest. He also ranked eighth in the league in field goal percentage (49.1) and 15th in free throw percentage (66.7). His efforts helped the Bison finish the year 19-9 and reach the ECAC South Region Tournament semifinals, their sixth consecutive postseason appearance.
His big senior year helped Testa finish very high on Bethany’s career scoring and rebounding lists. He tallied 1,263 career points to finish eighth in scoring and Testa grabbed 789 boards, which placed fifth on BC’s career rebounding list.
A psychology major, Joe is the son of John and Darlene Testa of Amity, Pa.
