On a beautiful day for football, Steubenville and Morgantown started the day off with a 1pm tilt where Big Red took control of the game early on. Steubenville continued their defensive dominance by only allowing 1 touchdown in the 35-7 victory.
The second game started as scheduled at 4pm featuring #16th ranked, and last years National Champion Don Bosco Prep against 10 time Ohio state champ Cleveland St. Ignatius. Don Bosco was just too much for St. Ignatius as Paul Canevari rushed for 265 yards helping Bosco to a 33-6 victory.
In the final game of the day, The Wheeling Central Maroon Knights took on the Bridgeport Bulldogs in another interstate battle of West Virginia vs Ohio. The Maroon Knights, winners of 7 West Virginia state titles were favorited by most, but the Bulldogs were able to pull off the 24-7 upset after forcing 7 Maroon Knight turnovers.
