It’s been a great year for both the Wheeling Jesuit and West Liberty mens basketball programs.
For Wheeling Jesuit, the Cardinals hold a 28-3 record, and will host rounds one, two and three in the Alma Grace McDonough Center beginning on Saturday, March 12. The second round will be played on Sunday, March 13 and the regional championship game will be played on Tuesday, March 15.
The No. 4-ranked Cardinals, who shared the MEC regular-season title with West Liberty, are the No. 1 regional seed.
For West Liberty, the Hilltoppers are 27-3, coming to Wheeling Jesuit as the No. 2 seed in the 8-team regional event. This is the seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament bid for West Liberty, which has won four of the past five regional titles and advanced to the “Sweet 16” each of the past six seasons.
