I am proud to accounce that a member/moderator on OVAthletics.com has been named a finalist for OVAC Coach of the Year. Mel Pesuit, who is known on the site as ‘ferflog’ is a finalist after taking the Meadowbrook Golf team to a 119-47 record this past season while claiming a conference title, along a birth to the State Playoffs.
Coach Pesuit is a 3 time Eastern District Coach of the Year, while claiming 5 conference titles and a overall record of 1,172-886 in his 16 coaching seasons. On behalf of the OVAthletics.com staff, congrats and goodluck!
Other finalists are Coach Mel Stephens from Wheeling Central, Jeremy Medei and Bubba Kapral both from St. Johns, and Troy Baker of Monroe Central.
