University of Michigan’s Tate Forcier visited the West Liberty Hilltoppers, and spoke with the football program about transferring to play for the Toppers in 2011.
Forcier, who started every game for Michigan as a Freshman in 2009 , did not see any significant playing time this past season for the Wolverines. If Forcier transfers to West Liberty, The NCAA would not require him to sit out an athletic year for dropping to Division II.
Forcier would have an immediate impact for the Hilltoppers, who are losing their senior record breaking QB Zach Amedro.
West Liberty paced the NCAA this past season averaging 543 yards a game, 403 of them coming through the air.
More information as the story develops.
