On Saturday, May 13th Triton Brown, a 5th Grade student at West Liberty Elementary competed against 2,110 elementary boys in the NASP National Archery Tournament in Louisville KY.
Triton shot a Personal BEST 286 and earned himself a third-place finish. His third-place finish is the highest place finish that any Ohio County Archer has ever earned!
Triton was in second place heading into the last flight. When a 5th grader from Oklahoma shot a 292 and took First. The boy in Second is a 5th grader from Louisiana and shot a 289.
Triton was tied for third with another 5th grader from Kentucky with their 286. However, Triton had more tens (20) to the other boys (17) tens.
There was a total of 14,079 archers in grades 4th to 12th that competed in Nationals. Triton has qualified to shoot at the World’s Archery Tournament in Myrtle Beach in June.
