WHEELING — One of the things I really enjoyed growing up, was looking at the sports writers’ weekly picks during football season. It’s how I found out who was good and conversely, who was struggling.
No joke, I’d run to the paper box first thing to catch a glimpse at which teams were going to be the winners and losers each week. Of course, I’d get upset if my favorite team wasn’t predicted to do well.
I grew up and for 21 years I was one of the guys in that same newspaper, making those same picks. How cool?
So I’ve decided to keep it going on this site. Some will agree, and some won’t. But that’s OK. The idea is to start conversation.
