Pirates Season Ticket Holders Receive First Priority for 2013 Postseason Tickets
The Pittsburgh Pirates today released information to Pirates Season Ticket Holders regarding the procedures for securing 2013 Postseason tickets and the pricing for those tickets. Current Pirates Season Ticket Holders will have the first opportunity to purchase Postseason strips, which include tickets to all potential home games at PNC Park in each of the Wild Card, National League Division Series, National League Championship Series and World Series during the 2013 Postseason.
Pirates Full Season, 41-Game, 20-Game and 10-Game Season Ticket Holders will begin receiving their 2013 Pirates Postseason information as soon as today. As a reward for their loyalty, these fans will have the opportunity to purchase postseason strips prior to the fans who have placed a deposit on tickets for the 2014 season and the general public.
The deadline for all Pirates Season Ticket Holders to submit their invoice for 2013 Postseason strips is 5 p.m. on Friday, September 6. All paid invoices must be received at this time in order for the seats to be reserved.
Current Pirates Season Ticket Holders will not only receive the first priority for 2013 Postseason tickets but many will also receive the largest discount in prices. The Pirates ensured that all current Full Season, 41-Game and 20-Game plan holders will be offered a Season Ticket Holder discount ranging from 21- to 31-percent over the individual postseason strip ticket price.
Requests from 10-Game Season Ticket Holders will be filled based on availability in one of five seating locations and invoices must be paid in full at the time of the request.
“This has been a special season filled with many great moments. As we look forward to the opportunity to play games at PNC Park in October, we are excited to offer this Postseason ticket opportunity as yet another benefit to our loyal Season Ticket Holders,” said Frank Coonelly, Pirates President. “Our Season Ticket Holders have been behind this team since April 1 and have played a meaningful role in what this team has been able to accomplish thus far.”
Subject to availability, current Pirates Full Season, 41-Game and 20-Game plan holders will be given the additional opportunity to purchase an equal number of additional strips as number of seats in their accounts, subject to a maximum of four additional strips per account.
In other words, if a Season Ticket Holder has two seats for the regular season, they will be offered the opportunity to purchase an additional two strips (four strips in total). If the Season Ticket Holder has eight seats in their regular season plan, they will be offered the opportunity to purchase an additional four strips (or a maximum of 12 strips in total).
While Postseason ticket pricing is formulated in accordance to Major League Baseball Postseason guidelines, the Pirates will continue to offer some of the best values in Major League Baseball, as Full Season, 41-Game and 20-Game plan holders can purchase tickets for as low as $15 for the first two rounds of the postseason.
Also, fans who place a new deposit toward a 2014 Full Season plan will have an opportunity to purchase playoff strips at the individual ticket prices. This opportunity will occur after current Season Ticket Holders have had their opportunity to purchase tickets, but prior to tickets going on sale to the general public. Fans who place a new deposit on a 41-Game or 20-Game season ticket plan will receive 2013 Pirates Postseason priority.
Individual tickets for each round will be made available to the general public beginning in late September, starting with the Wild Card and National League Divisional Series. Future rounds will go on sale to the general public at later dates as necessary.
(All 2014 Season Ticket Holder Renewal packages and information will be made available at a later date.)
