Morneau batted .259 in 159 games with the Twins while hitting 32 doubles, 17 home runs and knocking in 74.
The Pirates got the best of this deal as they only gave up Alex Presley, who appeared in only 29 games for the Pirates this season hitting .264 while hitting 2 homers and knocking in 4. He was dropped in the depth charts after the Pirates had brought up Andrew Lambo, Felix Pie and traded for Marlon Byrd.
John Heyman has also reported that a PTBNL and cash went with Presley to Minnesota.
