MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Brittany Fink and junior Terina Miller led the West Virginia University track and field team this afternoon with a first-place showings at the Bennie Benson Invitational in Pittsburgh.
Fink captured first in the discus with a personal-best and BIG EAST qualifying distance of 42.31 meters, while sophomores Heather Adams and Brittany Thomas followed in third (39.49 meters) and seventh (34.07 meters), respectively.
Miller then took the top spot in the hammer throw after finishing with a distance of 45.13 meters. Adams and Thomas followed in fourth (39.50 meters) and eighth (35.63 meters), respectively.
The West Virginia University track and field team will continue action next weekend with a trip to the UNC Fast Times on Saturday, April 16.
