Jim Tressel resigned as head coach of The Ohio State Buckeye’s today after an off season full of voilations and surprises.
Tressel joined the Buckeye program in 2001, replacing the tenured Jon Cooper. Tressel is leaving Ohio State with a 106-22 record, including a National Championship victory in 2002.
Under his watch, the Buckeye’s had a 6-4 Bowl game record, 5-3 in BCS Bowl games, and 9-1 against hated rival Michigan.
Jon Gruden and Urban Myer, both Ohio natives, have been rumored as Ohio State hopefuls for the position.
