WHEELING — What’s that saying about talking smack? When you win, say nothing. When you lose, say less.
I should have taken that more to heart after bragging about my success in the initial set of OVAthletics picks. On second thought, I still got 70 percent of the selections correct a week ago, so I’m going to keep talking.
In all seriousness, we’ve got a pretty good idea already of who is formidable and who needs some work. Though as we all know, upsets happen. That’s what makes these types of endeavors interesting.
On the docket this weekend are a handful of games pitting undefeated teams against one another. So I guess you could say this is the toughest week to make selections so far this season,
Here. We. Go.
Thursday

This would be a huge victory for the Jets, but the Huskies will have just enough to survive.
Friday.

Beallsville 39, Hundred 37
A couple of schools experiencing similar issues will do battle this weekend.
