WHEELING — Can we take a moment to recognize what is and has been going on with the Cameron football program? Because I don’t think what has happened in rural Marshall County gets enough fanfare.
You see, all the Dragons do is win. Like a lot. Almost all the time.
It started under former coach Scott Holt, who guided the Dragons to a pair of undefeated seasons. It has continued under the direction of Tim Brown, who has the club poised for yet another playoff berth.
But perhaps the best accomplishment occurred last week when Brown and company went on the road twice — Tuesday at Madonna and Friday at Trinity — and pulled out victories against two teams that were in the Top 5 of the WVSSAC ratings at the time.
Don’t be surprised if Cameron is atop those same ratings this week.
