Wheeling Jesuit Assistant Softball Coach, Amanda Thomas, along with senior captains Ashley McSweeney and Angela Petros present Michell Chappell from the American Cancer Society with the first part of a donation on behalf of WJU Softball program.
The Lady Cardinals will be playing a “StrikeOut Cancer” softball game on Saturday, April 17th, and all proceeds from the game will benefit the American Cancer Society. This donation is on behalf of WJU Softball Alumni, and includes a $1,000 check from Jacqueline Kapres and Hagar Golan.
The Cards will use their regularly scheduled conference double header against West Virginia State University to help the cause. Concession stand proceeds, “StrikeOut Cancer” t-shirt sales, and any other donations will be presented to the American Cancer Society after the event.
The double header will begin at 1pm and will be held at LaRosa Field on the WJU Campus.
