West Liberty University will be hosting workouts for wrestlers grades 5-9, from 6:30-8 PM every Wednesday beginning this week, April 14th. They will break workouts down in the following manner: 6:30-7-Instruction, 7-7:30-Drilling, and 7:30-8-Live & Conditioning.
They are expecting to draw some of the elite MS aged wrestlers in the Valley and the surrounding area–Western PA included. Workouts will be held in the wrestling room in Blatnik Hall, two buildings up past the football field.
The WLU facility is second to none in the Valley. WLU’s head wrestling coach and current WLU wrestlers will be conducting workouts. They will be free of charge for the first few weeks (up ’til Tournament of Champions), then depending on turnout, may expand to two days per week. Parents are welcome to watch workouts or they can go across street to the Student Union and hang out while child works out.
They plan to get input from parents in attendance and adjust the practices accordingly, and will accommodate those showing up weekly.
