MORGANTOWN – The WVU baseball team will complete its non-conference home stand with a two-game series on Tuesday, March 22 and Wednesday, March 23 against Eastern Michigan at Hawley Field.
First pitch on Tuesday is 4 p.m., while Wednesday’s game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Sophomore Brady Wilson leads WVU (13-8) offensively with a .398 batting average, including four doubles, a triple and 13 RBIs. Designated hitter Jeremy Gum is batting .383 with seven doubles, two home runs and 12 RBIs, while second baseman Dan DiBartolomeo is batting .365 with 23 runs scored. Justin McDavid leads the team with 20 RBIs.
Eastern Michigan (11-7) is paced offensively by Daniel Russell, who is batting .371 with 10 runs, five doubles, two triples and 13 RBIs. The Eagles have five batters batting over .300 and Ken Battiston and Rob Wendzicki each have two home runs apiece.
Last season in a Morgantown, WVU took three-of-four from the Eagles.
